Perfect little restaurant. Start with fun cocktails, maybe incorpoating local gin, move onto tasty starters. Menu is small but covers all the bases and entrees can be had as mains with the addition of side dishes, such as the highly recommended, spuds. Sit in or out. Spacious but has nooks for quieter dining with inside or outside options. Loved the fish curry, ribs and deserts.

We dined at Loch and Key yesterday for lunch, and absolutely loved it. We were greeted warmly by all the staff, and had the perfect table in the front window. We ordered three of their specials, the lamb ribs, cauliflower poppers and the warm lentil salad. They were all delicious, and perfectly cooked. We can't wait to return.

Absolutely perfect spot to stop for a lazy lunch while exploring the Gippsland towns. Loch & Key is warm and cosy inside, with a gentle buzz of conversation — we scored a lovely seat by the big picture window looking out onto the beautiful, tree-lined main street. The honey soy ribs were a delicious shared starter, followed by the Yellow Thai Curry and Braised Beef Cheek with duck fat potatoes — all full of flavour and beautifully presented. The team were attentive and congrats to the Loch & Key crew on delivering quality food and service. If you’re going alcohol-free, the Orange Liqueur Spritz is a must-try — super refreshing and packed with zing. Highly recommended.

Very classic and unique. I ordered fish and chips, risotto, smoked beef, and calamari. They were very delicious because the fish and calamari weren’t fishy and the portion was big so you can share each other. When you guys going to Philip island, don’t forget to try their foods. They were so amazing. I would come back. Promise…

We visited Loch and Key restaurant in Feb for a drink and had to come back for a meal . Our host Tamara is so friendly and as it was a cold and wet night seated us in front of the open fire . We enjoyed a bottle of PurpleHen Shiraz . Our meal was delicious, cauliflower poppers and spicey prawns for entree. For main we had melt in the mouth beef cheeks with creamy mash and veg and a small bowl of crispy roast potatoes . We will be back again! Anyone looking for a great dining experience in Gippsland should not go past Loch and Key restaurant

The linguini with creamed feta, smoked sugo, and zucchini was absolutely delicious—a perfect balance of creamy, smoky, and fresh flavors. It’s easily my favorite dish. The relaxed atmosphere, a cozy spot by the window, and great cocktails made for an enjoyable evening, with the wine pairing complementing the meal perfectly. Tamara and Dave, the owners, clearly love what they do, and it shows in every detail.

L&K is an epic experience. We didn't book, but we're fortunate to score an outside table. (Make sure your book!) We ordered a range on entrees including the pork belly bites x2 (pictured), a taco, potatoes with the mains of risotto and steak sandwiches. Current rating of 4.8 is an indication, and an understatement, of how great this place is.
